Nishanga Bliss has successfully defended her dissertation, Peak Eating Experiences, and has earned a Doctor of Science in Holistic Nutrition degree cum Laude. Nishanga also holds a Master of Science of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in English and Peace and Conflict Studies. She has advanced training in massage, macrobiotics, and herbal medicine. She is an assistant professor of Chinese Medicine at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley where she also practices acupuncture, herbology, and nutrition counseling. She grows, forages, cooks, ferments, eats, writes and teaches about sustainable food and is passionate about working with and teaching others about the benefits of holistic nutrition.
