Congratulations to Tess Arevalo-Fischer for graduating Summa cum Laude from the Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition program. Tess earned a BA in economics from NYU. She graduated from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts Professional Chef's Training Program where she learned technique, the importance of sourcing quality ingredients, as well as the effectiveness of using food as medicine and a powerful tool for both healing and preventing disease. This understanding led her to Hawthorn University where she successfully addressed her own health issues which included leaky gut, IBS, SIBO, osteoarthritis, anxiety, and depression. Her thesis, Depression as an Inflammatory Disease: A Review of Research with A Nutritional Perspective to Prevention and Healing, provides a holistic approach to addressing mental health issues. Her goal is to provide education via her website http://www.superhappyeats.com and help people find their way to healthier, happier lives.
