Congratulations to Sally McKay for graduating Summa cum Laude from the Master of Science in Health and Nutrition Education program. Sally received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and International relations from Stanford University and an Associate in Science degree in health education from Diablo Valley College. She currently works part-time as a wellness consultant & nutrition supplement distributor (http://www.sallymckay.juiceplus.com). Her desire is to educate others on the importance of good nutrition and help people understand that what they eat and how they live their lives determines the fate of their health. It is her belief that we all need to focus more on nourishing our bodies with natural whole food nutrition and less on trying to “fix” them with prescription drugs and surgery. Sally’s main objective moving forward is to help people stay healthy. She plans to work in the field of Holistic Nutrition because she truly believes that eating well is the key to good health and well-being. As Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Sally’s specific focus is on women in their forties to sixties experiencing symptoms of hormone imbalance caused by perimenopause and menopause. Her thesis is entitled Hormone Imbalance, Weight Gain, Chronic Inflammation and Health Problems in Perimenopausal & Menopausal Women. Best of luck, Sally!
