DSHH Program Overview

Earn two degrees in a shorter amount of time and save money! Hawthorn's dual degree program allows students to use credits from the Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition (MSHN) degree towards the requirements for a Doctor of Science (DSC) degree. Seamlessly enter the Doctor of Science in Holistic Health (DSHH) program with twenty-four (24) advanced level MSHN credits. No need to work on a master's thesis because you will receive your master's degree after completing the first two courses in the DSHH program.

The dual MS/DSC program is a 90 credit degree program that builds upon the clinical knowledge gained in the MSHN program. Students can gain a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the relevant history and present definition of the field of holistic nutrition including the major literature, theories, practices, problems, ethical issues, and research methods. Graduates work to educate people to make informed health and lifestyle decisions.

MSHN students can transfer advanced level MSHN credits (excluding the thesis course) and apply twenty-four credits towards a DSC degree.
