Congratulations to Cynthia DiMarco for receiving the Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition with the Summa cum Laude designation. Cynthia also earned a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina and completed a Community/Public Health Nutrition Dietetic Internship with the Florida Department of Health. The Dietetic Internship led her to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Cynthia worked in the field of Nutrition/Dietetics for 30 years, in both clinical and non-clinical settings, from hospitals to outpatient centers, and in private practice. She has now added holistic nutrition to her practice. She has given numerous speeches on a variety of topics from obesity and weight loss, prenatal care, diabetic care, drug and food addictions, and brain health. The focus of her practice has evolved into preventing dementia by educating people about the dangers and side effects of sodas, artificial sweeteners, and processed food products that are part of the Standard American Diet. Her thesis, Alzheimer’s Disease: A comparison study of early on-set dementia and simple carbohydrates from soda consumption is evidence of her knowledge. Keep up the good work, Cynthia!
