Congratulations to Laurie Ellis for graduating with a Master of Science in Health and Nutrition Education, Summa cum Laude. Laurie also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wyoming. She has twenty-five years of experience as a health educator, fourteen of which included working with a pediatric population. Laurie has extensive experience as a presenter at a national conference, multiple state conferences, and as the keynote speaker for a positive thinking retreat. She has appeared on a day time talk show and has written a weekly wellness column in a local newspaper. She developed a variety of disease management and health and wellness programs. A successful evidenced-based pediatric weight management program to combat childhood obesity received national recognition for program excellence and is being distributed to children and teens through the Wyoming Department of Health. Laurie is the founder of Positive Patterns for Life, LLC, a company dedicated to promoting a greater quality of life via health and nutrition education.
