In this presentation, Hawthorn Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition program graduate Marjie C. Andrejciw, MT (ASCP), MS, NC will explain the components of these three basic laboratory tests: The Complete Blood Count (CBC), Chemistry Panel, and C-Reactive Protein (CRP) are basic laboratory tests that are routinely ordered by a client's physician. The usefulness of lab test information in a nutritional practice will be addressed. The significance of the results from these common tests is important as abnormal values can be an indication of an imbalance or deficiency in the body. The test components, the optimal vs. reference ranges, the significance of the test results and abnormal values, and the usefulness of the information gathered will be discussed from a nutritional prospective. Marjie C. Andrejciw is a Holistic Nutritional Counselor and a Defeat Autism Now! Practitioner. Her specialty is chronic illness with an emphasis on autism. She practices the Weston A. Price philosophies and is a member of the National Association of Nutritional Professionals (NANP). She earned her master's degree in Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorn University and has over 10 years experience in the clinical laboratory as a certified Medical Technologist. Her business is Circle of Life Nutrition, LLC located in Fenton, MI. She expanded her practice with a retail store called Marjie's Gluten Free Pantry and Food Co-op in May 2010.
